THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT OF THE JEWISH RELIGION OR ANY WORLD
- The Kingdom of God is not of this world
Jesus affirmed:
“My kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)
This means that the Kingdom of God is not within the framework of any nation, organization, or religion on earth. No human system of law, form of worship, or religious institution can confine or define the eternal kingdom of God.
- The Law of Moses is not a religion, but a legal system for a free nation
The Law of Moses is not a “religion” in the modern sense – it is a national law established by God for the Israelites who had just been freed from slavery.
It is the law of a judge-less republic, without a king, without a ruling family, without a tyrannical army.
It includes criminal law, civil law, sanitary law, moral law, and traditional cultural provisions – from the prohibition of murder, adultery, theft… to the prohibition of eating unclean food, the prohibition of incest, maintaining hygiene, and worshiping one God.
That is: Moses did not found a religion, but established a nation on the foundation of God’s Word.
- State religion cannot save the soul
The law of any nation – including the Law of Moses – is limited to the physical world, which can be seen and measured by the physical eye. The law can regulate the behavior of the flesh, but it cannot transform the soul. That is why:
“For by the works of the law no flesh will be justified.” (Galatians 2:16)
The Mosaic Law was a shadow – but not salvation. It was Jesus who brought grace and truth (John 1:17).
- The Jewish religion – when it became a state religion – lost its essence
The Jewish people were chosen by God to manifest His Name. But when they turned their religion into a political-religious system, they rejected the promised Messiah.
The temple, the rituals, the sacrifices, the idols, etc. became a shell in which the spirit was no longer present.
Because they placed the temple and the Mosaic law above the Spirit, they failed to recognize Jesus as the Christ.
“This people honors Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.” (Matthew 15:8)
- The Name of Jesus Does Not Belong to Any State Religion
The Name of Jesus:
Not a product of Judaism.
Not limited to carnal law.
No need for temples, idols, or political organizations.
“For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Therefore, the Kingdom of God of Jesus cannot be built by human law, nor does it belong to any earthly nation.
- Regarding idols, temples, and clergy
The prohibition of idols is one of the most important commandments – not to protect religion, but to protect the human soul from superstition and exploitation.
Idols do not represent God. He is Spirit – not in a temple made by hands (Acts 17:24).
When people worship idols, fallen angels and demons take advantage of them to operate, to bewitch the people, and to profit through rituals and superstitions.
That is also why the Bible calls idols “the work of men’s hands” and the gateway for the forces of darkness to enter.
- State religion is a shadow – Jesus is the substance
“The law has only a shadow of the good things to come, not the true image of things.” (Hebrews 10:1)
The Mosaic law, the temple, the sacrifices, the rituals – are only material symbols imitating the spiritual truth. But Jesus is the truth, the substance, the embodiment of God.
He came not to maintain the state religion – but to establish the Kingdom of God in the spirit of each individual human being.
CONCLUSION: JESUS IS THE NAME OF GOD – NOT A STATE RELIGION
✅ Moses gave the law – Jesus gave grace and salvation.
✅ The Jewish state religion is a shadow – Jesus is the true life.
✅ The law rules the flesh – Only the Holy Spirit can transform the soul.
The name of Jesus is the name above all names – not a religion, a nation or an institution. Whoever believes and accepts Him will become a child of God – a true citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven.
