Where Is the Kingdom of God?
“For behold, the kingdom of God does not come with visible signs… The kingdom of God is within you.”
Luke 17:20-21
- The Kingdom of God Is Not of This World
Jesus said it clearly:
“My kingdom is not of this world.” —John 18:36
That means: The kingdom of God is not a religious organization, a political nation, or a physical system of government. It is not limited by geography, architecture, or worldly power.
- The Kingdom of God Is in the Spirit of Man
Man is made in the image of God, and only man has a spirit – the only part that can communicate with the Spirit.
When that spirit is born again by the Holy Spirit, receiving the Spirit – the living Word of God, then:
The kingdom of God is established within that person.
The Kingdom of Heaven is the space of the Spirit, the invisible but powerful light, shining from the inside out through life, words and actions.
- What is the Work and Field of the Kingdom of Heaven?
“A soul is worth more than the whole world. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?”
Mark 8:36
So the field of the Kingdom of Heaven is nothing other than human souls.
The work of expanding the Kingdom of Heaven is to conquer souls.
The weapons are the Word – the Spirit – the Gospel – the Truth.
A wise man is the one who conquers many souls for God (Proverbs 11:30).
- How the Kingdom of Heaven Works on Earth
“When two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
The Kingdom of Heaven does not need magnificent temples, but a spirit filled with the Holy Spirit.
The early church met from house to house, called a house, to:
Pray deeply in tongues.
Share the Word directly, face to face.
Visit, encourage, heal, and fellowship.
In contrast, the large physical temple system easily leads people into formality, power, and dependence on Mammon – the material god of the world.
- Communication is the Arm of the Kingdom
The Kingdom of God is the communication of spiritual ideas:
Through the preaching of the Word.
Through books, newspapers, letters, podcasts, media, and social media.
But the center is still the human being – the living spirit, not a dead machine, system, or ritual.
The Word can only give life through a regenerated spirit.
- So Where Is the Kingdom of God?
In the spirit of every person who believes in Jesus.
It is expressed in daily life, in the family, in work, in society.
It is extended through soul winning, prayer in Christ, evangelism, and gathering together.
Conclusion: Let the Kingdom Come on Earth
“Our Father in heaven… your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
—Matthew 6:10
The kingdom of God is within you.
You are the instrument through which it will be spread throughout the world.
Not through power. Not through idols. Not through ritual.
But in Spirit and in Truth.
