THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL IS INVASING CHURCHES THROUGH THE WAY OF DRESSING
The spirit of Jezebel is an evil force that seduces, controls, manipulates, and defiles what is holy. Today, this spirit is infiltrating churches through revealing, seductive clothing styles – something that seems harmless but carries the power of spiritual destruction. Many people do not know that the way they dress can be a door for the evil spirit to express itself.
- The way of dressing reveals the spirit at work
A person who dresses provocatively often does not know that they are being controlled by a seductive spirit. This evil spirit does not have a body, so it always seeks to express itself through people. It promotes desire to be revealed, causing lustful attraction to others. This not only affects the wearer but also makes those around them easily stumble. - The Bible Does Not Separate the Body and the Spirit
Many people use the excuse that “God looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7), but this is a misinterpretation. God looks at both the inside and the outside—for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). What we wear speaks to whether we honor or disrespect our blood-bought bodies. - Immodest Dressing Is a Stumbling Block
Romans 14:13 teaches us not to put a stumbling block in others. When we dress immodestly, we not only open the door for the spirit of lust to operate within us, but we also cause others to sin (Matthew 5:28). If someone desires you because of the way you dress, you are not completely innocent spiritually. - The Spirit of Jezebel Has Entered the Church
Today, the line between God’s people and the world is blurred because the way the church dresses no longer reflects holiness. 2 Timothy 2:19 emphasizes, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must avoid wickedness.” Modesty is not just for church, but a way of life that reflects our identity in Christ. - Modesty is a Principle, Not a Rigid Rule
Modesty is not cultural but biblical. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 and 1 Peter 3:3-4 teach that the godly person should dress modestly, avoiding seeking attention through appearance, but adorning themselves with a gentle, holy heart. - Glorify God in all things—including clothing
We are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). If we dress respectfully in the workplace, should we dress revealingly in the presence of God? Our clothing choices reveal what we worship—ourselves, or God?
Romans 12:1-2 teaches us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Dressing is not just about fashion—it is about witness. As a light to the world, Christians should not blend in but stand out in holiness.
A FINAL CALL
Examine your wardrobe and your heart: Are you glorifying God or showing off your ego? Remember, modesty does not make you unattractive—it is a sign of wisdom and reverence for the Holy One.
“You were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
