SEVEN WARNING DREAMS FROM GOD YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE
God often uses dreams to warn and guide His people. If you have had recurring, vivid, and emotional dreams, it may be a call from Heaven. Here are seven common warning dreams you should pay attention to.
- The Rapture Dream
If you have a rapture dream, it is a warning to prepare for the return of Jesus. You may have been called but have not been walking the right path, or you are living in sin. Dreaming of being left behind does not mean you will be abandoned, but that you are not ready if He comes now. This is a call to repentance and holiness. - Dream of losing your Bible
This dream shows that you are neglecting to keep God’s Word and live according to your calling. You may have lost your seriousness in your spiritual relationship or have neglected prayer. This is a warning to return to God’s Word and live up to His calling. - Dreams of Famine
If you dream of famine, God may be warning you of a lack of God’s Word in you or in your land. Amos 8:11 speaks of famine in the Word – a spiritual dryness. Increase your prayer life and study of God’s Word, and pray for economic conditions if the dream is topical. - Dreams of Sitting in the Backseat in Church
This dream represents that you are falling behind in your walk with God. You are not where He expects you to be spiritually. This is a call for you to step up and grow in grace and knowledge of Christ. - Dreams of Not Being Able to Pray or Call on the Name of Jesus
If you find yourself unable to pray or call on the name of Jesus in your dream, it is a sign of a lack of spiritual authority. You may be weak in your prayer life. Increase your time in God’s presence to be filled with the Holy Spirit. - Dreaming of preaching but no voice
If you are a preacher and you dream that you preach but no one listens, it is a sign that your calling is lacking in spiritual influence. You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and pray more so that your preaching can have power and change people’s hearts. - Dreaming of being ignored by a pastor or a representative of God
This dream reflects a distance between you and God, or pride and unrepentant. You may be living in self-righteousness and are cut off from God’s mercy. This is a warning to humble yourself, confess your sins, and return to humility so that God will look upon you.
