Why Does the Bible Say: “Each Spirit Was Predestined Before the Foundation of Heaven and Earth”?

Why Does the Bible Say: “Each Spirit Was Predestined Before the Foundation of Heaven and Earth”? The idea of divine predestination is not a new doctrine, but a mystery that has been revealed in the Bible through many passages, such as:

“In Christ we have also been chosen as heirs, having been predestined according to the plan of God who works out all things according to the counsel of his will.”
— Ephesians 1:11

“He was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.”
— 1 Peter 1:20

The Bible reveals that before the world was created, God knew each spirit, each human being – not as vague entities, but as individuals with names, positions, and parts in the eternal plan.

The Spirit – Already Existing in the Heart of God

This implies that before being born on earth, each of us was “conceived” in the spirit world – as “spirit fetuses” waiting to be sent to earth to fulfill our assigned mission.

Each spirit does not exist by chance. Each person is a pre-chosen part, a link in the great heavenly plan. And everything that happens on earth – from the place of birth, the time, the circumstances – is within the purposeful intention of God.

Predestination and Revelation

Although predestined, the spirit beings are only revealed “in the time of the end” – that is, when God sees that the time has come, He causes the saints to be born to take on the work in the plan of redemption.

This also relates to the words in Revelation, which say:

“It is necessary to wait until the number of the saints is completed.” (Revelation 6:11)

Until the full number of those called is reached, each divine being will be born, live in his or her own time, and fulfill his or her appointed part – in Christ.
