Why Is Each Person Unique Before God?

Why Is Each Person Unique Before God? Jesus told a parable that makes us think deeply about the personal worth of each person before God:

“What man among you, having a hundred sheep, and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until he finds it?”
—Luke 15:4

This parable not only speaks of God’s love, but also reveals a fundamental truth:
Each person—each soul—is unique and priceless before Him.

  1. No One Can Replace You in God’s Eyes

Even if He had 100 sheep, He would still look for the one that was lost—for He does not count by numbers, but by the heart.

The ninety-nine cannot fill the void created by the absence of one person.

You are a unique creation, fashioned by His hands, bearing the personal stamp of the Creator.

“You are precious in my eyes, and I love you.”

Isaiah 43:4

  1. Because You Have a Spirit – Communion with Heaven

Humans are not just flesh, not just emotional souls – they are spirit-people: spiritual – the only part of creation that can commune with God.

Angels cannot repent.

Animals cannot pray.

But humans have the ability to commune with the Divine.

That is why Jesus became flesh – not to save angels or other creatures – but to save you.

  1. Salvation Is a Personal, Not a Corporate Matter

Religion can be grouped.

The church can be communal.

But the Kingdom of God works individually.

God called Moses alone in the burning bush.

He met Samuel at night, even though Eli was there.

He met the woman at the well privately, even though he knew her past.

Every human spirit is a unique love story between you and God.

  1. Because He Is the One Who Seeks, Not the One Who Leaves

Jesus doesn’t just sit around waiting for you to come back.

He seeks. He pursues. He knocks.

You didn’t find God.
He sought you first.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Luke 19:10

Conclusion: Never Think You’re One of a Crowd

You don’t get lost in the crowd.

You don’t get lost in the crowd.

You are one of a kind.

And Jesus loves you – not because you are a “good person” – but because you are His.

“And when he has found it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and returns home…”
— Luke 15:5

Let Him carry you on His shoulders today.
