God the Father – The One True God and the Only Savior
First of all, the Book of the Word affirms a fundamental truth: God is the One True God.
“The Lord our God is the only true God” (Mark 12:32)
“God is the only true God” (John 5:44)
“I am the First and the Last; besides me there is no other” (Isaiah 44:6)
“And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God” (John 17:3)
This is what the Bible clearly states: there is only one true, eternal, and one God.
But the Word of God does not stop there, it also affirms a crucial truth: God Himself is the only Savior.
“I, even I, am the Lord; there is no savior besides me” (Isaiah 43:11)
From these two things we see that God is the only savior.
No one – in heaven, on earth, or in the underworld – can claim to be the savior except God. Anything that adds to this truth is heresy; and anyone who claims to be, or is claimed by others to be, the savior apart from God, is the Antichrist – a false savior.
The Holy Spirit has made this clear in the Book of Deuteronomy:
“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus is the Christ has come in the flesh is from God. And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, as you have heard, who is already in the world.”
(1 John 4:2–3)
Note the phrase: “Jesus is the Savior.”
This is the heart of true faith.
The angel of the Lord himself said to Joseph:
“You will bear a son, and you are to call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21)
This confirms that Jesus is the Savior.
There is no other name that can replace this role:
“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)
The name of Jesus is the only name that saves.
He is the only Savior. And as such, He is the only God.
There is no other name that can save people except the name of Jesus.
Jesus is the Name of God revealed to humanity.
Through that Name, the veil in the Holy of Holies was torn – opening the way for people to enter into the presence of God, to see Him, to know Him, and to worship Him.
That Holy of Holies – is Jesus.
That Name is the mystery of God revealed to humanity.
Therefore, according to Matthew 1:21 and 1 John 4, anyone who confesses and worships Jesus as the Savior is worshiping the true God, in Spirit and in truth.
