Angels – Demons – Humans: Who Belongs to God?

Angels – Demons – Humans: Who Belongs to God?

  1. Demons and Angels Are Not Gods

Demons and angels are both physical beings, although they are not solid or tangible like humans.

They are gaseous entities – invisible forms of matter that can move quickly, travel through space, and appear and disappear at will.

However, the important thing is:

They are not Gods.

They do not have the Spirit of God within them.

They are either servants or opponents of God – depending on each angel’s choice of faithfulness or rebellion.

  1. Humans – Made in the Image of God

Only humans are described as:

“Created in the image and likeness of God” (Genesis 1:26).

This means:

Humans are given a physical body from the earth, but they are also breathed with a spirit – that is, a spirit from God.

Because of this, humans are completely different from other creatures: they have the ability to commune with the Spirit, to receive eternal life.

Therefore, humans are called “children of God”, with the potential to become like Him – if they submit, obey and live in His light.

  1. What about other living creatures?

All animals, plants – whether in heaven or on earth – are material.

They do not have a Spirit – although they have life, movement, and reproduction.

Biological life is not synonymous with spiritual life.

Plants, animals, even those in heaven do not have a spirit like humans. They exist to serve God’s purpose, not to be created in His image.

  1. Where is Heaven? On A Star?

The Bible describes Heaven as God’s dwelling place, a place of light and glory, not part of the dark physical realm like the present universe. However, some heavens – where angels operate – may be related to a star or some other bright physical region.

But the true Heaven – where God’s throne is – is beyond the visible universe, far beyond all stars, and is not limited by matter.

Conclusion: What is Spirit?

Spirit is not matter.

Demons and angels are matter in gaseous form.

Humans – although they have physical bodies – have Spirit, and so are called “sons of God”.

The physical universe, no matter how glorious, is not the true heaven. Only those who belong to the Spirit and are redeemed by the blood of Jesus can enter the eternal light, where there is no more darkness or material limitations.
