The Spirit – Made of the Word

The Spirit – Made of the Word. “The words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and Life.” (John 6:63)

The human spirit – the innermost part of man – is made of the Word, of Spirit, not of matter. The Word is spiritual in nature, and it is the element that shapes the living spirit of the human spirit.

The Kingdom of God is in the spirit.

The physical body is only the outward manifestation of the Kingdom within – where the Word and the Spirit operate. When a person lives in the light of the Word, their spirit radiates light – that light cannot be hidden under the ground, but will illuminate the whole house, the whole life.

However, the human spirit is weak and dependent.

The spirit needs energy – that energy is absorbed through the body from the external material world: from breath, food, light, and vital interactions. When the body no longer has energy – the spirit leaves the body. That is when physical life ends, and the soul returns to the One who created it.

Therefore, the human spirit always needs shelter, nourishment and recharging through the body. But the most sustainable source of energy does not come from matter, but from the Word – which is Spirit and Life.
