The Way of Truth – What is Truth?
- Jesus – The Way and the Truth
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6).
The Way: leads to God.
Truth: the absolute truth that exists in Him.
Life: gives eternal life to all who believe.
- The Word and the Holy Name
Jesus is the Divine Word (Revelation 19:13) – all Truth is spoken through Him.
His Name is the Name of God, expressing power and love.
- The Bible – The Essence of Truth
The entire Bible is the Word of God; from it the mystery of Jesus is revealed.
As Paul affirms, “I have one goal: to know Jesus more and become like him” (Philippians 3:10) and to “be renewed in the mind of my heart according to the image of Christ” (Romans 12:2).
- The Veil of Sin and Liberation
The veil represents sin and ignorance, separating man from the light of God.
When the veil is torn (Jesus died and rose again), all who believe can come directly to Him and see the splendor of Truth.
- Truth and Mammon
The Truth belongs to God, bringing the soul into true light and freedom.
Mammon (Caesar’s money) only brings temporary things, easily leading people astray into darkness.
- True Wisdom
True wisdom is to know the Holy One, placing Jesus – “the Author and Finisher of all faith” (Romans 11:36) – first.
In short, the Way of Truth is not an abstract concept, but Jesus himself – the Word, the Truth and the Life, opening the way to freedom and eternal life for humans.
