The Universe and the Spirit: Light or Darkness?

The Universe and the Spirit: Light or Darkness? The Spirit is not the living space of the universe. He is not in the universe but above it all. The universe in which humans live is only a limited, tangible, and temporary part – a physical dimension, with a beginning and an end.

The Bible says in Genesis 1:2 that:

“In the beginning the world was a waste, a void, and darkness covered the deep…”

This is an affirmation that the universe from the beginning had no life, no light, and no manifest presence of God.

The Spirit is the Light – the Unhidden Light

In John 1:4-5, the Bible says:

“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

The Spirit is eternal light – an infinite, boundless light that no matter can obstruct or cover. When that light appears, all matter vanishes, all darkness retreats. But God did not shine His light on the entire universe, and that has a profound meaning.

The Universe – The Space of the Fall

Matter is finite. And so the universe is finite – it had a beginning and it will have an end. The universe is not heaven. It is not the place where God dwells in glory. Instead, the universe is a place where His face is hidden, where His direct light no longer shines.

The universe is the space where Satan and his fallen angels dwell.

God has turned away from it, and will no longer shine His face upon it.

Although the stars still shine, carrying energy and movement, it is only a temporary energy that God gives – like a clock to run before it stops.

The Word “Heaven” Is Not Just the Universe

In the language of the Bible, “Heaven” is not just the sky or physical space, but also refers to God – who reigns in eternity, outside the universe, outside all dimensions. So, we understand that:

The entire universe that we see is just a giant “black hole”, separated from the glory of God.

And in it, the stars – although shining – are actually just the fire of judgment, like hell burning red in the deep darkness.

Conclusion

The physical universe is not the dwelling place of God.

The Spirit is not limited by matter, space, or time.

He is the supernatural light – the source of life and true life.

We should not seek God in stars, planets, or physical energy, but seek Him through the light of His Word – where the light of truth shines in the human heart.
