What Is the Rebirth of the Spirit?

What Is the Rebirth of the Spirit?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

John 3:5

  1. Rebirth Does Not Mean Returning to the Womb

When Jesus said to Nicodemus, “You must be born again,” Nicodemus was puzzled and asked,

“How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

John 3:4

But the Lord said clearly:

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

John 3:6

  1. What Is the Spirit? And Why Is It Born Again?

In the beginning, when God breathed life into Adam, man became:

“A living soul” – that is, a living spirit, capable of connecting with the Spirit of God.

— Genesis 2:7

However, when Adam and Eve sinned, the human spirit died—that is, lost the supernatural life energy from God, and fell into a state of:

Without the living Word in the deep subconscious.

Unable to understand or receive the Truth of God.

Unable to draw near to Him on their own.

  1. What is Regeneration?

Regeneration is when the dead Spirit is made alive by the Word and the Holy Spirit:

“You hear the sound of the wind blowing, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

John 3:8

The Word of God is a seed that is sown:

If it falls on a humble, listening, and receptive spirit, it takes root deep into the spiritual subconscious, reviving the dead spirit.

  1. Why Do Some People Lose the Word Even Though They Have Heard It?

“He who hears and does not do what he says is like seed that falls on the path, and the birds of the air come and eat it up.”

Matthew 13

They hear the Word but do not believe it and do not obey it, so the Word cannot take root in their spirit.

They only keep the Word in their temporary memory, not letting it penetrate deeply into their spirit – so the Word “evaporates”, losing its effect.

  1. How to Be Reborn in the Spirit?

“For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.”

1 Corinthians 15:22

Rebirth occurs when:

You hear the Word (Spiritual Word) – that is, the Word of God.

You believe – that is, you are convinced that the Word is true, and you surrender.

You obey the Word – acting in Faith, even though your physical eyes have not seen it.

True Faith is the evidence of a resurrected spirit.

Conclusion: Being Born Again Is Not Being Good – It’s Being New

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
—2 Corinthians 5:17

Being born again is the foundation.
Without being born again, all your morals, rituals, and efforts are in vain.

For the Kingdom of God is only open to those who have been born again by the Spirit and the Word.

Are you truly born again?
Are you living by the memory of your old beliefs… or are you living by the living Word every day?
