YesHWaH – The Only Savior, The Only God
The Bible – the Divine Word given to mankind – first of all proclaims a fundamental and unshakable truth:
God is the only true God.
“The Lord our God is the only true God.” (Mark 12:32)
“God is the only true God.” (John 5:44)
“I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6)
“And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God.” (John 17:3)
This truth not only affirms the uniqueness of God, but is also fully linked to his redemptive mission, for the Divine Word goes on to affirm:
“I, even I, am the Lord; besides me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:11)
Only God is the Savior. No human being, no idol, no entity – whether in heaven, on earth, or underworld – can claim to be the Savior unless it is of the nature of God. Any addition, any attempt to elevate someone else to the position of Savior is an insult to the truth, and belongs to the spirit of the antichrist.
That is also why the prophecy about Mary in Luke 2:35 says:
“A sword will pierce your own soul.”
Not because she will be attacked physically, but because her soul will be tormented because people have placed her in a position where only God alone is worthy of worship. When people call her “Co-Redemptrix,” “Mother of God,” and ask for salvation from her – they are intentionally or unintentionally turning her into an “object of worship” instead of an example of faith.
The Bible warns against this in 1 John 4:
“Every spirit that confesses that Jesus is the Christ has come in the flesh is from God. But every spirit that does not confess is not from God; it is the spirit of antichrist…” (1 John 4:2–3)
The angel of the Lord himself declared:
“You will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
So it is clear: Jesus is the Savior. And since there is no other Savior besides Jehovah, Jesus is God incarnate – the only God who came to earth to redeem mankind.
The Apostle Peter also testifies:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
The only name for salvation is the Name of Jesus – not Mary, not another prophet, not a religious leader, not a religious symbol, not a merit. Just one Name. Just one Person.
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14)
“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4)
Jesus – the Word himself, is the One who opened the curtain of the Most Holy Place, so that men no longer need to fear but can enter the presence of God in glory, through His Name.
“The Name has been made manifest to men.”
“The Name is the mystery of God made manifest.”
“His name is the entrance into the holy place.”
“His name is Jesus – God incarnate – the only Savior.”
So whoever confesses that Jesus is the Savior is worshiping rightly, in truth and by the Holy Spirit. That spirit comes from God.
And therefore, we can confidently confess:
Jesus Christ – The Only Savior – is the One and Only God.
Jesus Christ – The Only Savior – is the Only God.
