The True Christian Is a Free Spirit – Anointed on the Spirit. Not everyone who bears the name “Christian” is a true Christ. Not everyone who joins a religious organization or follows a doctrine is a person who has been born again by the Holy Spirit.
The true Christian is a person who has been anointed on the spirit – that is, on the root of the soul created by God – to become a free spirit, living by the Spirit of Truth, walking in truth, and no longer enslaved to the religious system or the world.
Christian Is Not a Skin Name
The word “Christ” means the Anointed One. When people call someone a “Christian,” it should not be just a social title or a religious label. It should imply that the person is also anointed – touched by the Holy Spirit on the spirit, that is, the spiritual root that lies deep within each person.
Yeshua said:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, he has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” (Luke 4:18)
He did not anoint me only to do the work of redemption – he came to anoint those who belong to him, so that they too would become freed human beings.
Anointed on the Spirit – The Root of True Freedom
The spirit is the root of the soul that is breathed forth from God (Genesis 2:7). It is the deepest, most sacred part of each person – where true life begins, and the only place that can receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
When a person is anointed on the spirit:
They are no longer led by the flesh or carnal reason
They are no longer slaves to sin, tradition, or emotion
They walk by the Spirit, knowing what is true and what is false, and holding their will firmly in the truth
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)
That liberty does not come from reform, organization, or law – it comes only when the spirit is restored by the grace of God.
Warning: There Are Those Who Call Them Christians But Are Anti-Christians
Yeshua foretold that:
“Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5)
In this age, many religious systems bear the name of Christianity, but do not carry the anointing of the Spirit. They bind souls with dogma, fear, rules, and false glory.
Such leaders and movements are anti-Christian, for they oppose the truth of the anointing, and hinder the spiritual freedom that the Holy Spirit wants to give to the human spirit.
Rely on the Holy Spirit to Become a Free Spirit
A true Christian is not just someone who believes a doctrine – but someone who is truly born again in spirit, and continues to live by the life-giving power of the Holy Spirit.
God does not call you to be a member of a system – He calls you to be a free spirit, anointed to bear the image of His Son in this world.
“Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set you free, and do not be brought back into bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)
Conclusion
The name Christian is the name of the anointed – not the name of the bound.
If a system or person comes to you in the name of “Christianity”, but what they bring is fear, control, rules, and slavery – then it is not the anointing of the Spirit, but a counterfeit.
The true Christian is a free spirit, living by the anointing of the Holy Spirit on his spirit – not controlled by any system.
