Seven Types of Christians Who Fear the Devil
- Christians Who Fear the Devil More Than God
Some believers fear the devil so much that they think the devil might harm them when they sleep or pray. They unwittingly give power to the enemy through fear. The Bible teaches that “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Instead of focusing on the devil, stand firm in the victory of Christ. - Hypocritical Christians
Satan is not afraid of those who appear godly but live in sin. Hypocrisy nullifies the effectiveness of a prayer life and poses no threat to the devil. Jesus said, “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit” (Matthew 7:18). True Christians must live truthfully both inside and out. - Christians Who Lack Faith in God’s Power
The devil is not afraid of those who doubt God’s power, even if they have witnessed miracles. In Matthew 13:58, God did not perform many miracles among the people because they did not believe. Do not let doubt hinder the power of God from working — “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). - Christians Still Keep Doors for the Devil
Unforgiveness, bitterness, and hatred are “legal grounds” for the devil to work. No matter how much you pray, if you do not forgive, you are leaving the door open for the enemy. Ephesians 4:26-27 teaches, “Do not give the devil a foothold.” Live in forgiveness and surrender to God, so that the devil has no place to stand. - Christians See God as a Servant
When your prayers revolve around what you want, without seeking God’s will, you are putting yourself at the center. Matthew 6:33 teaches, “Seek first the kingdom of God…” We must change the way we pray, seeking God and His purposes. - Christians Who Are Spiritual But Not Anointed
Appearing spiritual, praying loudly, but lacking the true anointing from the Holy Spirit, still do not scare the devil. The anointing comes from a life of holiness, surrender to God. “Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). - Christians Who Are Spiritually Unbalanced
Many people are strong in prayer but weak in Bible knowledge, or vice versa. The devil exploits this imbalance. Proverbs 4:26 advises, “Make straight the path of your feet…” Jesus is the example of a balanced spiritual life—prayer, fasting, understanding God’s Word, and obedience.
Conclusion:
A strong Christian is not about shouting or outward appearance, but about living truly, having faith, being anointed and obeying God completely. That is the person the devil is truly afraid of.
