Yeshua – The Eternal God Who Humbled Himself to Become Man. John 8:24
“Therefore I say to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
This powerful statement by Yeshua is not only about the consequences of unbelief, but also a revelation of His divine nature – the Eternal God, who humbled Himself.
He is the eternal “I AM”
When Yeshua said “I AM” (Greek: Ego Eimi), He was identifying Himself as the I AM who said to Moses in Exodus 3:14:
“I AM Who I AM. Say to the Israelites, ‘I AM’ has sent me to you.”
Yeshua did not come to be a religious prophet, but to reveal God himself among men. That is why the Jews and other religious groups who opposed Him sought to kill Him – because they could not accept a Man who claimed to be God.
“But you seek to kill Me, because My words have no place in you… You have not known Me, nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”
(John 8:37–38, 19)
Grace rejected – a tragic sin
Yeshua came in grace and truth – to save, not to judge. But that same grace was rejected, and He was hated without cause:
“This happened so that the scripture might be fulfilled: ‘They hated Me without cause.’”
(John 15:25)
Many religions and denominations – even those that claim to be godly – have rejected Yeshua’s divinity. They do not accept Him as Theos – God made man, and that is the greatest error. Radical Islam, heresy, materialism or “pantheism” all deny the truth that Yeshua is the Eternal Self-Existence.
Amazing Love – Eternal Justice
“We are justified by faith” (Romans 5:1).
There is no greater love than the love of the One who sacrificed His life for mankind.
Yeshua – the Holy One – took on the sins of Adam’s descendants. He died for them, so that all who believe in Him may have eternal life.
Why do many people not understand this?
“The Spirit of Truth – the world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.”
(John 14:17)
People reject Him not because of lack of evidence, but because their hearts are hard of hearing, their ears are hard of hearing, their eyes are blind – just as the prophet Isaiah is quoted:
“This people’s heart has become hard of hearing… they have closed their eyes, lest they see and hear and understand and turn back, and I heal them.”
(Matthew 13:15)
Are you rejecting or accepting the Word of God?
Yeshua said:
“I speak only what I have heard from him who sent me.”
(John 8:26)
He is the living Word, the Word made flesh (John 1:14). The Bible is not just a book – it is the living word of God Himself. To reject the Word is to reject Christ Himself.
Conclusion: Yeshua – God Who Humbled Himself for You
He is not just a teacher or a prophet – He is the Eternal, the Self-Existing One, who has existed since eternity.
He came, died for you, rose again – and will return in the clouds, in glory and power.
If you do not believe this – the Bible is clear: you will die in your sins. But if you believe – you are saved, you enter into eternal life, you know the Father.
“Believe in Him today – and eternal life is yours.”
