NOT JUST CIVIC EDUCATION – BUT “THE ETERNAL PATH OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN”

NOT JUST CIVIC EDUCATION – BUT “THE ETERNAL PATH OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN”

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

(Proverbs 22:6)

  1. When you are gone – what will remain?

Why does the Bible emphasize: “Even when he is old…”?

When your child is old, you may no longer be present in this world. But what you sow in his soul will live on. The Bible does not say: “so that he may repay his parents in the future”, but so that he will not depart from the path you have shown him – the eternal path.

The world teaches: “The young rely on their father, the old rely on their son”. But the Word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go,” because that way will follow him all his life, even when you are no longer around.

  1. What is that way?

It is not just moral knowledge.

It is not just civic education.

It is not just religion, rituals, human ethics…

It is the Eternal Way – of the Kingdom of Heaven.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

(John 14:6)

You are not just teaching your child to “be good” – you are called to teach your child to know Christ, to believe in the Gospel, and to walk the path of salvation.

  1. Responsibility begins at home – before “the ends of the earth”

“You will receive authority…and you will be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem…and to the ends of the earth.”

(Acts 1:8)

Do you desire to take the Gospel to the world? Begin with your Jerusalem – your family, your children.

To evangelize the world while neglecting the soul in your own home is a great mistake.

“The way he should go” is not the way of career, fame or peace – but the WAY OF LIFE, leading to the Kingdom of Heaven.

CONCLUSION: TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN – THIS IS AN ETERNAL INVESTMENT

If you teach your children to be good, you are preparing them for this temporary life.

But if you teach them to walk with God, you are preparing them for eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Teach your children not only to succeed on earth, but to belong to the eternal Kingdom.
Not just civics, but spiritual education. Not just morals, but the gospel.

Because in the end, the most precious thing you can leave your children is not wealth, but faith in Christ.

AMEN.
