GOD’S WORD FOR PRAYER
Satan – the father of lies – is constantly sowing doubt, fear, and uncertainty into the human mind. But through purposeful prayer, you can stand firm in the truth of God’s Word and shatter the lies the enemy has planted in you.
- When Negative Words Come From Loved Ones
As a Christian, you have probably experienced the hurt of hearing negative words from loved ones, friends, or even your own family. Words like “You’ll never amount to anything,” “You’re not good enough,” or “You’ll fail” – not from God, but from the enemy, who is trying to sow seeds of doubt in your heart.
You may feel lost, frustrated by rejection at work, hurt in relationships, or feel worthless. But remember: the enemy doesn’t always come with horns and a tail – he often speaks through the mouths of others.
- Truth is what God says about you
Your worth doesn’t come from what other people say, it comes from God’s Word. Even if someone tells you that you’re worthless, that you can’t graduate, that you can’t succeed – that’s not the truth. Don’t believe them. Reject all negative talk, and stand firm on God’s promises.
The Bible says:
“I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
- Declare what God says about you
Every morning, look in the mirror and declare positive statements based on God’s Word:
I am a child of God.
I am wonderfully and wonderfully made.
I am a winner, not a loser.
I am loved, chosen, and purposeful in God.
No matter what the enemy says, no matter who has hurt you – you do not have to carry the burden of those words. Who you are is not defined by others, but by your Creator.
- Pray with Power
Now, pray together:
“Lord, I thank you for calling me your child. I reject every lie, every negative word I have ever heard. I break the enemy’s influence over my mind. Please remind me every day of the truth – that I am loved, chosen, and purposeful. I will live by Your Word, not by the word of man. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
Remember:
You are not defined by what people say, but by what God says.
