PRINCIPLES OF WARRIOR
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world…” – Ephesians 6:12
Why Are Your Prayers Unavailable?
Spiritual warfare is real. But many believers fail because they pray without principles. Here are 7 serious mistakes that make prayer ineffective and even dangerous:
- Wrong and Unbiblical Prayers
Many people use stereotypes like, “Please send the demons into hell or the abyss,” but the abyss (bottomless pit) has not been opened (Revelation 9:1-2).
In Luke 8, the demons ask God not to send them into the abyss “before the appointed time.” Wrong-targeted prayers are ineffective – the enemy will return.
→ Secret: Use authority in the name of Jesus, bind them, and cast them out of your life, but do not give orders that are not in line with God’s Word.
- Rest after prayerful warfare
Many people pray hard and then relax completely. But the enemy does not disappear – he withdraws to regroup.
Luke 4:13 – the devil withdraws “until the time is right” when he tempts God.
→ Maintain spiritual discipline after prayer: read the Word, fast, pray, worship.
- Pray while living in sin
Sin opens the door for the devil. If you live in sin, you have no authority.
The seven sons of Sceva were struck by demons because they did not have a true relationship with God (Acts 19:13–16).
→ Repent sincerely before praying for deliverance.
- Returning to Old Lifestyles After Deliverance
After being delivered, many people return to their old sins, causing the devil to return stronger (Matthew 12:43–45).
John 5:14 – Jesus said, “Do not sin again, or something worse will happen to you.”
→ Let go of the past and live a new life.
- Attacking the Wrong Target
Many people pray vaguely, against “all the powers of darkness” but without clarity.
Not identifying the spiritual root causes prayer to be ineffective or to invite counterattacks from the devil.
→ Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the root and focus on each specific target.
- Lack of Spiritual Preparation
Spiritual warfare requires full spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10–18).
Without a close relationship with God, without understanding the Word – you will be hurt.
→ Arm yourself with prayer, the Word, faith, righteousness, and truth.
- Keeping objects or connections to your sinful past
Objects used in idolatry, divination, sexual immorality, etc. are touch points for the devil.
→ Get rid of all objects, mementos, pictures, books, etc. that are connected to your sinful past.
CONCLUSION:
Spiritual warfare is not an emotional one, but a real battle that requires awareness and obedience to the Word of God. Do:
Repent from the heart
Set your spiritual goals
Pray according to the Bible
Live a holy life, keep your heart alert
“Submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
