Why is there a “Word of Information” in creation?
Science and the Word: Partial Understanding of the Creator
Science is the discovery of the laws, order, and information hidden in creation. But the thing to understand is this: science does not create truth — it only discovers what the Creator has already placed in all things.Because all things were created through the Word — Jesus Christ:
John 1:1-3 – “In the beginning was the Word… All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
Colossians 1:16 – “For in Him all things were created… all things were created through Him and for Him.”
1 Corinthians 8:6 – “There is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were made.”
Psalm 8:3 – “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained…”
Every physical law, every biological structure, every quantum particle – all reflect the order and intention of the Word. So when science explores the material world, humans are seeing a part of the light reflected from Christ – but indirectly, faintly, incompletely.
Science is not God
Science cannot create “Information Words” – it can only decipher what already exists.
Science cannot recreate life, it can only study the life already given by the Creator.
Science cannot save the soul, it can only support physical life temporarily.
Where does science lead?
If sincere, science can lead people to fear and seek the Creator of all things. But science cannot replace faith.
Romans 1:20 – “For since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his eternal power and divine nature, has been clearly seen, and no one is able to excuse him.”
However, it is only through the revealed Word – Jesus and the Bible – that man can truly know God directly and save him.
Conclusion
Science helps us to know Christ in part through creation – but it is not the complete way to know Him.
Only through the Holy Spirit and the revealed Word – the Bible and the revelation in Jesus Christ – can man truly know the Creator, receive life, and enter into eternal fellowship with Him.
