WE ARE NO STRANGERS TO THE DEVIL’S STRUGGLES
“We do not fight against flesh and blood…” – Ephesians 6:12
THE SPIRITUAL WORLD IS REAL
Human beings were created in the image of God, but because of sin, we were separated from Him and became the target of the enemy – Satan. The Bible tells us that the devil only operates within the limits allowed by God, but he takes advantage of weakness, unregenerate hearts and lack of spiritual understanding to sow destruction.
Sadly, many people play with evil – not realizing that the real enemy is not people, but the dark forces working behind the scenes.
7 STRATEGIES THE DEVIL USES TO ATTACK
- Make people doubt his existence
“The greatest enemy is when he makes people believe that he does not exist.”
Satan sows the idea that hell is not real, that all religions are the same. When people are no longer on guard, the devil is free to act. - Steal the Word of God from people’s hearts
“The birds of the air come and eat it up…” – Luke 8
When a person hears the Word of God but does not take it seriously, the devil comes and takes it away, making it impossible for them to believe and be saved. - Sow weeds among the wheat (luring through false teachers)
The devil works right inside the church, through people who disguise themselves as spiritualists, preach half-truths, causing division and confusion. - Oppression through sickness
Not all sickness is caused by demons, but there are cases where sickness is a spiritual bondage (Luke 13:16).
The woman who had a bent back for 18 years is an example. We need to discern and know how to release in the Name of Jesus. - Tormenting people who hold bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness
“Do not give the devil a foothold” – Ephesians 4:27
Unforgiveness is an open door to spiritual torment, making the soul lose peace and become easily manipulated.
- Deception through false doctrine
“There is only one Mediator…” – 1 Timothy 2:5
Satan presents other religions, humanistic religions, false philosophies of peace – making people think that all paths lead to God. But only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). - Attack the Mind with Negative Thoughts
Satan sends flaming arrows of deception into the mind (Ephesians 6:16):
“You are not worthy”
“You will not be forgiven”
“God no longer cares about you”
The mind is the main battlefield. Those who do not guard their thoughts will gradually be controlled.
BE AWAKE AND RESIST
“Be sober and vigilant; your adversary the devil is like a roaring lion…” – 1 Peter 5:8
We need:
Pray in the Spirit without ceasing
Live in forgiveness and holiness
Equip yourself with the Word of God every day (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Recognize and reject all forms of the enemy’s counterfeits
THE ONLY SOLUTION: JESUS CHRIST
Only when we surrender our lives to Jesus, accepting the only Savior, do we have the authority to overcome the enemy.
He is the One who has overcome the world, conquered death, and given us the authority to resist all the schemes of the devil.
“Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
