The Absolute Truth of the Word – The Bible
Revelation 22:18-19 is a solemn and definitive warning that concludes the entire Bible:
“I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”
This is not just the conclusion of the book of Revelation, but the final, unchangeable seal of the entire Bible – the revealed Word of God.
Since then, no “new revelation” has been able to replace or alter the sealed Word of God. Whether man or angel, if anyone claims something contrary to the Bible in the name of supernatural power, he is a fraud, a delusion, and must be rejected (see Galatians 1:8).
The Bible – The Complete and Eternal Word of God
The Bible is not a product of temporary human or cultural practices. It is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recorded through the prophets and apostles of many generations. All of it points to one center: Jesus Christ – the Eternal Word.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Peter 1:21
“For no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
1 Samuel 23:2
“The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and his word was on my tongue.”
There Is No Word Higher Than God’s Word
The Bible is complete. No one can add to it, take away from it, or change it – it is the sealed word of God Himself.
When someone claims to be a “new revelation,” a “voice from heaven,” or a “spiritual utterance” that is outside or contrary to the Bible, it is not from the Spirit of God. No matter how powerful, famous, or miraculous they may be, God’s children must stay away and discern truth from falsehood through the Bible.
The Word of God Is a Lamp and Life for the Righteous
Joshua 1:8
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.”
The Bible is not just a religious book, but a living compass, guiding the way for spiritual and practical life. It is absolute truth, unchangeable by time, culture, or worldly power.
Conclusion
The Word is Jesus (John 1:1). The Bible is His word revealed to man. Those who love Him will obey His words, and make God’s Word the foundation of their lives.
Do not let strange voices mislead you. Do not let the false wisdom of the world replace the truth.
The Word of God is complete, unique, and eternal.
